Download everything

I've been looking to create something very similar to this service to categorise my work geographically.

I'm essentially looking for a specific set of features, that could be anywhere in the world, and I'd like a hierarchy of boundaries so I can categorise those features and to add to a search index.

Is it possible to get a static download of your entire dataset?

Reading here, it looks like you're using a combination of OSM queries, imported in Postgresql with osm2pgsql, which is also my approach but as you've found, it's a time consuming and complex problem to solve.

I realise it would be massive but is there a way to provide downloads, even SQL dumps, of your data, maybe by admin_level, for the entire world?
