the order of ID in the field of parents

Hi, thanks for your work to provide the boundary for administrative areas. I have a question about the data. I noticed that there is a field of "parents" which shows the ID of the parent entities of the current entity. I want to know whether there is a certain order for those IDs, such as  ordered based on the administrative levels of entities or they are just put there randomly.

Hope you can answer my question.

Thank you.

Hi, the hierarchic tree to the left of the map is built upon data we create ourselves, not from data that exists in OpenStreetMap itself. The tree is built upon looking up which polygons fits into each other. So for example, a polygon around Paris will geographically fit into a polygon containing France. The is described in the short Documentation.

It's this hierarchy that exists in the parents field. The field is sorted, with the biggest polygon last. So for example, I live in Malmö, which is inside Skåne, which is inside Sweden. The polygon for Malmö would have a parents field that has the IDs of Skåne, and then Sweden.

I hope this explanation makes it clear.
